Race Weekend Camping Checklist (Starter)
📝 Starter post compiled from tips in the 12 Hours of Sebring 2026 write-up. Darien — expand it with your full gear list.
From the Sebring weekend
- Camp stove, cooler full of ingredients, and a portable table. Cooking at camp turned every meal into quality time — breakfast burritos, grilled chicken with veggies and rice, pasta dinners, quick quesadillas.
- Pick a camp spot wisely — easy access to the Fan Zone but far enough from the rowdiest areas to keep things peaceful.
- Comfortable chairs and good shoes.
- Backup viewing spots picked in advance — a shaded grandstand, a grassy berm, and a “home mound.”
- Shower the night before race day. Future-you will thank present-you.
- Pace yourself — build in rest, shade, and easy food so a 12-hour day feels exciting instead of exhausting.
- Have a traffic backup plan — crank the music and take the scenic route.
